Marvin Hunter discovered his passion for writing and performing comedy while serving in the U.S. Navy. Being raised in the deep South by a no-nonsense Civil Rights activist of the 1960s, having served over 20 years in the US Navy. He retired as a Hull Tech 1st. Class with multiple overseas deployments while being exposed to the absurdities of life along the way shaped Marvin’s unique sense of humor and unabashed point of view. For this reason, Marvin is known as the Grumpy Uncle (#grumpyuncle) on the comedy scene worldwide! In addition to Kevin Hart Presents: The Next Level, Marvin has previously appeared on the Mississippi episode of Kevin Hart Presents: Hart of the City on Comedy Central, Bounce TV’s Off the Chain, Comedy Dynamics: Uncontrolled Comedy TV Series, Jamie Foxx’s The Foxxhole SiriusXM Radio, The Haves and Have Nots (Season 5), the Steve Harvey Morning Show and Bounce TV’s sitcom “Last Call”. Currently Marvin graces stages from coast-to-coast and can be seen on the Ricky Smiley & Friends Comedy Tour and heard on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud SiriusXM Radio.
