This workshop will move at a breakneck pace covering the fundamentals of connecting to music and your audience. You will learn to sing melodies that exude emotion. You will learn to play characters outside your comfort zone. You will learn to use music as a tool of expression, not just a parlor trick that adds rhymes to your improv. Recommended for beginner and advanced musical improvisors. Instructor: Kelly Shuda Kelly Shuda is an improvisor, composer, and music director who worked at The Second City for over a decade. Performing 400 shows a year in Chicago, Kelly has written and improvised countless hours of comedic musical theatre, and remains in demand because of their ability to connect quickly and directly with the audience. Kelly is also the creator, director, and accompanist of OPERA PUNKS, and currently works as a musician and game designer at Jackbox Games. Kelly currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.
